Two-time Downbeat Magazine award-winning arranger and performer/multi-instrumentalist, Greg Blair graduated from UMass, Amherst's Honors College in 2012 with a BA in Music. After two very busy years full-time in the Boston music scene, he moved to New York City to further his musical pursuits.

Greg has had the opportunity to play in notable venues around the world from New England to Ireland, Spain, Brazil and Japan
 in a wide variety of genres, from funk to big band, folk, jazz, soul, orchestral music, top 40 and beyond. He has performed with Frankie Valli, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Pauletta Washington, Diane Louie, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, The Four Freshman, and countless local, regional and national acts in addition to hundreds of weddings and private events across the Northeast US. Currently he can be seen with Atomic Funk Project, Dingonek Street Band, Sawyer Lawson, his own band Blair & Company and as a sideman throughout the Greater NYC area.

As a writer, continuing projects include producing songs for film, freelance horn section arrangements and writing for Blair & Company. His unique, New Orleans-inspired version of Pomp and Circumstance has been played at universities around the country including UMass Amherst, Michigan State University, Hobart & William Smith, and more.

As an educator, Greg recently contributed a sample essay, glossary and series of instructional videos regarding musical terminology to a best-selling college textbook published by Pearson Educational.
